1. Is it all right if I bring a friend with me to Thanksgiving? We'll bring two bottles of wine. 2. Would you be free for a girls night tomorrow night? I still haven't found a place to have a big movie night, but Carol brought up karaoke and we could definitely do that. I'll see if I can get my roommates to give us the common area sometime, if it's just a few of us, but ALL of them are men, so I dunno if I'm the best place. In the meantime, karaoke though? Please bring round any female friends you've got that you want. I only have a couple.
Life really does go on, you know. I left a man at the altar once. It turned out to be the best thing for both of us. He went on to marry the right woman for him.
Of course, you should keep in mind what she's been through. She may not be thinking clearly.
It takes as long as it takes. You don't want to rush self-discovery. [Even though she did, by leaving her fiance and moving across the country back home.]
My favorites are the ones that remind me of home. Pies of all kinds. Pierogi. Chili cheese dogs. Nanaimo bars. Or I should say, Nanaimo-style bars, since we aren't in Nanaimo. Things like that. I love fancier dishes too, but since I've been here, I've been remembering how much I loved the down home style food, you know?
